Turbocharger rotors repair
Turbocharger rotors repair is very sophisticated process, very special know-how is required.
Turbocharger shaft ends repair is performed by thermospray methods, which allow to avoid any shaft deformations.
Turbocharger exhaust gas side small defects can be repaired by a special welding process, using Inconel-series consumables.
Scope of repairs:
- Shaft ends reconditioning.
- Sealing places, exhaust gase side (labyrinth seals).
- Minor welding repairs on exhaust gass side, by Superalloy grades.
Thermospray methods of T/C rotor ends reconditioning includes modern HVOF/HVAF methods of coating by carbide-content consumables which gives extreme resistance against the wear in operation and gase erosion.
T/C rotors inspection prior to repair, service and post-repair dynamic balancing works are strictly followed each rotor repair.
