Cylinder covers of 2-stroke Low Speed Engines with the following problems can be subjected to reconditioning:
- Cracks on fire side of cylinder cover
- Water leakage from cooling space.
- Seats and sealing places defects – wear and corrosion.
Reconditioning is performed as per strict welding procedure, by special heat-resistant welding consumables. Welding procedure includes a range of PWHT procedures for achieving a good reliability after repair. Welding repair is followed by high precision CNC machining.
Seats and sealing places are subjected to thermospray repair by corrosion resistant materials.
Cylinder cover with a welded cooling jackets are subjected to cooling jackets replacement. New cooling jackets are manufactured with good corrosion protection.
