Description of work

ICE Class stainless steel CPP blade was damaged by ice, during the winter navigation in Baltic Sea. When disassembled there was additionally found an excessive wear in place of O-ring seal, on the flange.

Ice damage was welding repaired by following a Class-approved procedure, also a special Post Weld Heat Treatment was done, obligatory required for Cr-stainless steels for the purpose of repair stresses relief and metal structure improvement in welding and Heat Affected Zones area.

CPP blade flange was subjected to repair machining, in order to eliminate wear on O-belt under O-ring seal.

After sale

CPP blade was delivered to vessel spare stock, ready for operation.
