Description of work

ME MAK 25 cylinder covers were subjected NO-GO for the further use because of critical corrosion wear in place of lower O-belt. Replacement or Reco was required to complete engine overhaul. Ship Management has choosen Reco instead of replacement as a cost-effective solution. Reco was done in Reneko workshop. Corrosion was eliminated completely by pre-machining and, after that, a new corrosion-resistant material was applied. Post-machining was done to original design shape.

After sale

Cylinder covers, all 8 pcs, were installed back to the engine immediately after repair. Currently in operation.
