Description of work

Screw shafts, inspected during the compressor overhaul, were found in NO-GO condition due to excessive wear of the necks. Compressor service company offered 2 options to end-user of the compressor: repair of screw shafts block or complete block replacement. Due to high cost of replacement end user agreed to perform repair of the block. Screw shafts were subjected to repair by laser cladding method by applying material on the worn necks. Post-machining of repaired necks was executed to original size.

After sale

Repaired shafts, 2 pcs were sucessfully installed back to compressor and they currently continue operation.
